1st Salda Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Symposium was held at MAKU.

The 1st Salda Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Symposium organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) was held at Lavanta Tepesi Hotel. Symposium Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Tomruk, in his opening speech, emphasized that they are happy and proud due to the high participation in the symposium, stating that physiotherapy is a very ancient profession, and with the increase in the world population, the improvement of quality of life, prevention of diseases, treatment, and providing effective rehabilitation services, it is a profession that is very open to change, and provided information about the topics to be covered in the symposium. With a total of 239 participants, expert academicians from all around Turkey participated as invited speakers in the symposium. In the symposium, which is the first scientific event in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Burdur, current approaches such as artificial intelligence applications in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, technological measurement and treatment methods, telerehabilitation, and innovative product development were discussed.
