The Essence and Progress of Artificial Intelligence Discussed at the Conference Held at MAKU

The conference organized by the Food Community of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University discussed artificial intelligence.

 

The conference titled 'Artificial Intelligence 101' was held at the Veterinary Faculty Conference Hall. The conference was attended by the President of the Food Community Prof. Dr. Seval Sevgi Kırdar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Sevli, academic and administrative staff, and students.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Sevli, who participated in the conference as a speaker, stated that artificial intelligence began to take shape in the 1950s and emphasized that artificial intelligence is an engineering discipline that includes many sub-technologies.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Sevli stated that artificial intelligence is not a product, does not contain a superpower that can do everything, there is only one concept of artificial intelligence and plural expressions should not be used. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevli also said, “Artificial intelligence is an undeniable revolution, but the natural intelligence produces artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is not a threat for natural intelligences who know its nature, production, and control.” He shared information about the timeline of artificial intelligence.

 

The conference ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Sevli by the President of the Food Community Prof. Dr. Seval Sevgi Kırdar.
