Creative Touches to Traditional Traces with the Exhibition Opened at MAKU

An exhibition themed 'Traditional Clothing, Costume Design and Character Makeup' was organized by the Turkish Folk Dances Department of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University State Conservatory of Turkish Music and the Folk Dances and Modern Dance Group.

The exhibition held in Avşarhan was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, Director of the State Conservatory of Turkish Music Prof. Dr. Zeki Nacakçı, academics and students.

The exhibition, which included traditional clothing, Turkish costume design, character makeup and modern dance performance, was prepared under the leadership of Dr. Lecturer Nurgül Mıhladız and aims to preserve and pass on Turkish culture to future generations.

The dance titled "Existence", performed by the students of the Turkish Folk Department with their own handmade costumes, was highly appreciated.
