Meaningful Visit to Rector Dalgar from Burdur Journalists Society

The President of the Burdur Journalists Association, Kürşat Tuncel, and members of the association visited the Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, in his office. This important meeting was one of the first official visits made by the newly elected board after the ordinary general assembly held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
Kürşat Tuncel, who was re-elected as the President of the Burdur Journalists Association at the ordinary general assembly held at the Sesame Facilities, made a quick start to his duties with his team. The delegation, consisting of Kürşat Tuncel, the Chairman of the Board, along with Serkan Şimşek, Abdurrahman Kızılkaya, Mesut Madan, Onur Özkan, Meral Öztürk, Hüseyin Dilek, Osman Nanecioğlu, and Murat Korkmaz, continued their visits to important institutions in Burdur with MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar.
Strong Cooperation Between University and Press
During the visit, issues such as the use of communication channels between the university and the press more effectively and the development of data sharing were discussed. Ideas were exchanged about collaborations and joint studies to be carried out in the future.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar congratulated Kürşat Tuncel, the President of the Burdur Journalists Association, and the board of directors for being re-elected by renewing their trust. He stated that the strong cooperation with the press members of the university will continue and they are open to working together on new projects. "One of the most important stakeholders in increasing the brand value of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University has been the Burdur press. Also, the Burdur press has always observed our sensitivities," said Rector Dalgar, "We are a university that values social contribution very much. The esteemed press members who have undertaken the mission of narrating this contribution have been with us since the university was founded, they have always been our supporters," he said, wishing success to the members of the association in their work. He stated that such visits strengthen the dialogue between the university and the press.
