An unforgettable night with tunes from the Turkish World
Within the scope of the event, folk music pieces compiled from the geographies of Turkistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Anatolia were performed, while traditional folk dances staged added color to the night. In this special program where music and dance intertwined, cultural ties were once again emphasized through melodies from different geographies.
Minstrelsy from Tradition to Future
One of the most striking moments of the night was the program where students of the Turkish Music State Conservatory performed together with Âşık Kazanoğlu. While the students presented examples from Anatolia's deep-rooted minstrel tradition, Âşık Kazanoğlu provided unforgettable moments to the audience with his unique style and adherence to tradition. The performance, enriched with leb değmez laments, pun poems, and improvisational expressions, showcased the intricacies of the minstrel culture. This special meeting reflecting the traditional master-apprentice relationship received great appreciation from the audience.
