The festival, which was filled with scientific sessions, innovative project presentations, and sector meetings for three days, received intense interest from all over Turkey.

In HAYTEKFEST, where 91 project applications were made this year, 80 individual and 11 corporate applications were evaluated. As a result of the preliminary selection and jury evaluations, 47 projects qualified for the finals. Among the finalist teams were 28 universities, municipalities, public institutions, research centers, and private sector representatives.

Turkey’s agriculture and livestock TEKNOFEST

In the closing session and evaluation panel, MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Prof. Dr. Arif Behiç Tekin from Ege University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Boyacı from Hacettepe University, and Dr. Nejla Güloğlu from TAGEM participated as speakers.

Speaking at the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar stated that HAYTEKFEST has become a TEKNOFEST in the field of agriculture and livestock in Turkey and said:

“We are truly proud of HAYTEKFEST this year. The interest of young people in agriculture and livestock gives us hope. Students, researchers, and entrepreneurs from all over Turkey are determined to produce solutions in this field. Agriculture is now shaped not only by sweat but also by brainpower. Our slogan ‘Roots in the soil, branches in space’ reflects this understanding in the best way.”

Prof. Dr. Dalgar emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, saying, “When agriculturists, veterinarians, engineers, and IT specialists work together, we achieve much stronger results. This spirit is the greatest strength of our university.”
