Ünilig Football Turkey Championship Elimination Matches started at MAKÜ

The 'Ünilig Football Turkey Championship Qualifying Group Matches' organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF) have started, hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ). This year, a total of 5 university teams, including Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Kütahya Dumlupınar University, and Isparta Süleyman Demirel University, are competing in the tournament. The matches will continue until November 21.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament on November 17, MAKÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy emphasized the importance they place on sports infrastructure as a university. Gürsoy, who stated that they host many branches in modern facilities built in cooperation with Spor Toto, said, “I just watched the match between Süleyman Demirel University and Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. Our other teams are also competing with excitement. These facilities were built with the resources of our state, and our university has many sports areas that can serve all branches of the Turkish University Sports Federation.”

Reminding that they also hosted the Turkey Dart Championship last week, Prof. Dr. Gürsoy wished success to all athletes, saying, “Welcome to our university. I hope the matches will be completed without any accidents, troubles, or injuries.”
