The concert "Akif’ten Hakk’ın Sesleri" at MAKÜ received great acclaim

The concert “Akif’ten Hakk’ın Sesleri” organized as part of the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Week events by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University met with art lovers at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall. The meaningful night offered the audience a profound journey both in literary and musical terms.

The thoughts expressed by the poet of the National Anthem, thinker, and man of cause Mehmet Akif Ersoy in Safahat were brought to the stage in the elegant forms of Classical Turkish Music, centered on faith, morality, social responsibility, and human sensitivity. In the concert, works composed in song and hymn form from selected poems of Safahat were performed.

The compositions of the works performed during the night were made by Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Turkish Music State Conservatory Lecturer Buğra Sercan Sahil. The works were successfully performed by Lecturer Dr. Tuğba Sahil, who also works at the same conservatory. The audience showed great interest in this special repertoire where Akif’s world of thought was integrated with classical Turkish music.
