Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) brought together its academic and administrative staff at the same table in the iftar program organized due to the month of Ramadan. In the program held with the participation of the university administration and employees, the emphasis on unity, solidarity, and institutional culture stood out.
The iftar program organized by the university started with a whirling dervish show. Speaking at the meeting held in a sincere atmosphere, MAKÜ Rector Hüseyin Dalgar expressed that they see the university as a large family beyond an institution.
Rector Dalgar stated that the ever-growing university family is further strengthened with newly joined academicians and employees, and said that the month of Ramadan reinforces the feelings of unity and togetherness. Thanking all the staff who participated in the iftar program, Rector Dalgar expressed his satisfaction with being together.
Emphasizing that institutions can only achieve real success with team spirit, Prof. Dr. Dalgar stated that individual efforts would remain limited and that true success would be possible with teams that can act together. Rector Dalgar, who stated that institutions formed by people who understand and support each other can write lasting success stories, said that a strong institutional culture has been formed at MAKÜ.
Rector Dalgar, conveying that academicians who want to transfer from other universities to MAKÜ frequently use the expression "this is a very peaceful university," stated that protecting the personal rights of employees, respecting their private lives, and a peaceful working environment carry great value for the institution.
Emphasizing that everyone's effort is valuable at the university, Rector Dalgar stated that an academician publishing at an international level and other employees serving the university are equally important for the institution. Prof. Dr. Dalgar, who said that all employees contribute to the success of the university, drew attention to the fact that everyone's work is valuable.
Touching on the importance of focusing on the future, Rector Dalgar, recalling the saying "The windshield is larger than the rearview mirror," expressed that the university is progressing towards its goals by learning from the past.
At the end of the program, Rector Dalgar thanked those who contributed to the organization; he expressed his gratitude to the kitchen staff, SKS personnel, and Tourism Faculty students who took part in the iftar program for their contributions.
The iftar program, held in the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan, was evaluated as a meeting that reinforced the feelings of solidarity and unity among university employees.
