The 3rd Placement international student application and registration process for the 2026–2027 academic year has begun.

Before starting the application process, please carefully read the 2026-2027 Academic Year International Student Admission Application Guide and the relevant explanations. For technical problems you encounter in the application system and other questions, you can reach us by sending an email to iso@mehmetakif.edu.tr.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- - If necessary during the process, candidates will be contacted through the communication information (phone number, email) they entered in the application system. Therefore, it is very important to enter the contact information completely/correctly and to regularly check email accounts throughout the application process.
- - Candidates must apply primarily with their T.C. Identity numbers, if available. If you do not have a T.C. Identity number, please apply with the information on your passport.
- - Candidates who do not have high school graduation grades on their high school diploma/transcript must also upload a document showing their graduation grade.
- - In order for candidates to complete their application processes and be evaluated, they must check the box "I have read and approve the text above." and click the "Save" button in the last step.
- - In applications returned to candidates through the system for preliminary review and correction of deficiencies/errors; candidates must make the necessary corrections and then check this box again to save/approve their applications. Otherwise, the application will not be considered complete.
- - During face-to-face registration, candidates who have errors detected in their online application information will not have their registration processed.

The application process is carried out through 2 different systems.

Step 1: Application Fee Payment
Applications are accepted online only through our university's website without any intermediary, and no additional fees will be charged to candidates for any process other than the announced amount.
- - First, you need to create a user account by entering the address https://yos.mehmetakif.edu.tr.
- - After logging into the system, you need to pay the application fee of 30 USD online.
- - The payment amount will be manually defined by the University after you become a member.
- - IMPORTANT NOTE: THE APPLICATION FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
Step 2: Document Upload and Program Preference Processes
- - After paying the application fee, you need to click on the “Create a new account” button from the link https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/foa_app to create a user again.
- - Then you can upload the documents below and complete your preference processes.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION
- - The original passport and its certified Turkish translation. (Mandatory)
- - The original high school diploma and its certified Turkish translation. (Mandatory)
- - The original high school transcript and its certified Turkish translation. (Mandatory)
- - TR-YÖS Exam result document. (If available)
- - Document proving that the application fee has been paid. (Mandatory)
- - Turkish Proficiency (TÖMER) Certificate. (If available)
- - For candidates with T.C. nationality, an exit-entry document from abroad. (Mandatory)
