With its academic success rising in global rankings, MAKÜ is also climbing in student preference rankings

Continuing its rise in the world university rankings with its academic performance and international visibility, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) has also carried this development into student success rankings. According to the 2026 YKS placement results, the majority of the university's undergraduate and associate degree programs have increased their success rankings and minimum scores compared to the previous year.
Rise in 94% of undergraduate programs
In 59 out of 63 undergraduate programs at MAKÜ, the success ranking has increased. Thus, 94% of the undergraduate programs were preferred by students with higher success rankings compared to the year 2025. This development seen in nearly all programs indicates that student interest in MAKÜ has spread to the university's various academic units.
Rise in 95% of associate degree programs
The rise also continued in associate degree programs. The minimum score of MAKÜ's 78 associate degree programs increased compared to the year 2025. Thus, 95% of the associate degree programs raised their minimum scores above the previous year's level.
The results obtained in undergraduate and associate degree programs showed that MAKÜ's efforts to update its educational programs, improve student experience, strengthen practical education, and enhance graduates' career opportunities positively reflected in the preferences of prospective students.
According to the 2026 YKS results, MAKÜ reached a 99.66% occupancy rate in undergraduate programs and a 100% occupancy rate in associate degree programs; it continued its rise with developments in international academic rankings, as well as in occupancy rates, student success rankings, and minimum scores.
Academic success is rising, student interest is growing.
