Yapılış Tarihi | 22 April 2026, Wednesday

Teknofest

The exhibition held within Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) as part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day can be viewed online between April 23 - June 30, 2026. The exhibition opens up the concept of “child” not just as an age period; but also to rethink around themes such as hope, fragility, play, children's rights, education, play culture, memory, migration, ecology, technology, and social transformation.

The selection, which includes painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design, illustration, and photography as well as digital productions and interdisciplinary works, makes the individual and social dimensions of childhood visible. This structure, where different disciplines come together, offers the viewer the opportunity to evaluate the childhood experience from a multi-faceted perspective.

Under the honorary presidency of MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and coordinated by the Child Education Application and Research Center , the exhibition is curated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ezgi Tokdil, and a comprehensive curatorial framework has been created with the contributions of the selection committee and organizing team. The exhibition features 170 works by 155 artists from 8 different countries, and this wide participation strengthens the international nature of the exhibition.

The “Child/Çocuk” exhibition, with its polyphonic structure, makes a common sensitivity about childhood visible, while inviting the viewer to establish an intellectual connection between the past, present, and future. The exhibition continues to meet with viewers with its accessible structure through the digital platform.
